Road Closure: Ashford-in-the-Water.Blessing of the WellsSunday 04th June 2023On Sunday 4th June 2023, roads in Ashford will be closed from 14.00hrs to 16.00hrs to allow for a procession through the village.

The 14.32hrs Transpeak from Buxton to Derby will not serve Ashford (timed to depart Ashford at 15.07hrs) and theThe nearest available bus stops will be on Dukes Drive (A6)—Ashford Mill.

Buxton Half Marathon

Buxton Half MarathonSunday 28th May 202310.00hrs to 13.00hrs.The Buxton Half Marathon will start from Buxton Opera House at 10.00hrs and will proceed along St. Johns Road towards Ladmanlow. With the runners still in a group there will be a full rolling road closure for this stage of the race, and this will directly affect:

Service 58 - The 09.55hrs departure from Buxton to Macclesfield is likely to be delayed around the Burbage/Level Lane area for about 15mins.The Half Marathon will then cross the path of the Transpeak service at Sunnyfields, Burlow, Harpur Hill, and London Road (A515).

There may be a partial road closure along these points but as the running field should be quite well spread out in these areas this may not be necessary.However, drivers are advised to proceed with caution at these points along the Half Marathon route.
