Service Affected: 58, 60

The A54 Macclesfield Main Road will be closed between A53 Leek Road and A537. To accommodate the closure, the 58 and 60 services will be unable to operate the normal line of route and will be on temporary timetables for the duration of the closure. 

58 Service
- Burbage and B5059 Macclesfield Road will not be served. 
- The 58 will pick up from the Market Place, then it will divert via A5004 through Fernilee, Taxal, Whaley Bridge, Furness Vale, Newtown, then it will operate via A6 and A523 into Macclesfield. 
- In Macclesfield, it will not be serving Black Road or Windmill Street. 
- A Special reduced service will be in place for the duration of the closure: 07:15, 11:00, 15:00, 16:45 from Buxton to Macclesfield, and 09:30, 12:30, 16:30, 18:15 from Macclesfield to Buxton.

60 Service
- The 60 will operate in two separate sections; Macclesfield to Rainow & Hayfield to Kettleshulme, with a few journeys operating between Horwich End and Hayfield & School trips between New Mills and Hayfield.
- For Hayfield and New Mills passengers travelling to Macclesfield, you will need to travel on the 60/61 services to Whaley Bridge or Newtown and connect onto the 58 to Macclesfield.

Macclesfield Road (B5059), BuxtonDate: Sunday 21st September 2025

Road Closed: Macclesfield Road (B5059), Buxton

Service affected: 58

Due to utility works, Macclesfield Road will be closed between 8am and 5pm. 

58 service from Buxton to Macclesfield - will operate the normal line of route to West Road, then it will turn right into Burlington Road, left onto St Johns Road, continue on St Johns Road to Burbage, where it will pick up the normal line of route. 

Bus Stops Missed: Wye Head Close, Cavendish Avenue, Burbage Way. 
- Passengers can use the bus stop outside The Duke P.H.
